Barbados Bowl
Just returned from Barbados and thought this is an appropriate drink for the site . Love the Hooch by the way
- 8 Ripe Bananas
- 8oz. Lime Juice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 12oz. Light colored Rum- I prefer Mount Gay Rum!
- 12oz. Dark Rum Again- best with Mount Gay Rum but any sort of Rum will do
- 1 qt. Pineapple Juice
- 12oz. Mango Nectar
- 2 Limes Sliced
- Chill Everything -except bananas
- Thinly slice 6 of the bananas
- Place the Banana slices, the lime juice and sugar in a blender and blend the mixture a few minutes until smooth
- Pour over a Block of ice in a punch bowl
- Pour in the Light and dark Rum, the pineapple and mango nectars and stir and chill one hour before serving
- Cut the remaining bananas, limes into thin slices and float on top of the punch before serving
- This is a really good cocktail to be served mid afternoon on a hot day on a patio, roof top deck or by the swimming pool and has been a hit at all my summer parties since I discovered from Barbados - enjoy!
